What We’re All About

Seven Eight Records is committed to releasing a diverse catalog of music in the niche "classical" genre. Founded by composer Ryan Gagnon and organist Michael Ging, Seven Eight Records seeks to eliminate the perennial dilemmas of classical music recordings for both artists and connoisseurs. While CDs are available for purchase from the individual recording artists, Seven Eight Records will not sell physical discs from this website. We choose, rather, to make our albums available on major online distribution platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Amazon Music, and Deezer. Complete liner notes for all albums are published on this website and are available for download free of charge.

We know the issues because we struggled with them. Our company's genesis is rooted in our desire to make music available in the spaces where music is most encountered today. This means that commercial recordings must be released in the digital sphere, a performance arena larger than any venue in which any of us currently create.
